The present study concerns some of the legal issues raised by the plagiarism like: the ‎legal norms, definition, consideration criteria and the legal nature of the sanction applied for the plagiarism facts. 

The author reviews the opinions expressed in the special literature and formulates own points of view regarding the controversial issues raised by the plagiarism. 

The study presents also some de lege ferenda proposals‎ concerning the analyzed facts of the plagiarism.
