Abstract
Any person holds the right to their own image and, according to the legal provisions in the field, the reproduction, storage or use of a person’s image require the latter’s written consent. A person’s image is one of the key attributes of their personality, because it expresses their originality and allows them differentiate from others. A person’s right to the safeguarding of their image thus is one of the essential prerequisites of their personal development. This mainly supposes the individual’s right to hold control over their own image, which mainly includes their possibility to refuse its publication.
