Abstract
In fact, the article presents a short pleading in favour of the proper implementation and functionality of the public lending right system, especially in the context of drafting the Intellectual Property National Strategy for 2023-2027. It is important that in the current evolution of technology we are discussing about NFTs, generative art, metadata, blockchain, artificial intelligence or ChatGPT2, but for more than 18 years Romania has not implemented the system, which causes the continuous prejudice of authors and rights holders.
